The spectrograph function in Reaper, allows the user to see pitch changes in color, above the usual waveforms. This function was created specifically to distinguish between percussion instruments without pitch and pitch instruments. It works quite fast and effective as with one glance, you can instantly see which track is a drum track.
Looking at this, one can not stop himself but wonder, does this have a graphic notation potential as well? Future experiments will follow.
